Experience the reawakening of the Lakes with a visit this Spring. From snowdrops and daffodils to lambs and calves, and with new growth bringing fresh colour to the landscape many would say that the Lakes is at its best during the Spring months. The bright light mornings and ever lengthening evenings mean there is plenty of time to explore the area and yet still find time for a soak in the hot tub at the end of the day.
At Manesty our poplar is usually the first tree to get its leaves, with the ash trees lagging at the end. Early spring brings teetering day old lambs acquainting themselves with their new surroundings and busy birds building nests. Later there are flowering azaleas and rhododhendrons, and ragged parents feeding fluffy baby birds on the bird table. Blackthorn and hawthorn flowers bring new life to the hedges and the bright new grass growth brings a new depth to the views across the valley.
